My beautiful part calico and brown tabby girl passed away January 25, 2010. She was 17 years old, so she had done well. She had the sweetest face and wonderful disposition and a wonderful friend. Since her death I have been designing a pillow for her and I think I finally have it the way I want it laid out with background and border color scheme all worked out. I only need to place the lettering of her name and dates.
So here she is
As far as the canvas, I plan on using something totally different 14/28 white penelope canvas. I have always wanted to use Penelope Canvas (double mesh), so I thought Emma’s pillow would be perfect. The 28 mesh (single mesh) would show of the detail of her character stripes. The size of Emma’s Pillow when finished will be 17 x 17.
Her background will be a deep hot pink or wine color, an flowers will be surrounding her on the border. So to allow for the texture I will be using Appleton crewel and some DMC cotton floss. I have almost finalized the colors I would need of both the Appleton and DMC. Once I have them in hand I will show them to you.
In the wings I have another tribute pillow that needs to be done for my boy Frank, he passed away in November 2009.
Cat and Kitten update, to read the saga of these felines take a look here.
Rory who was Annie’s first born, is now almost now 9 months old. He is a very large boy and a love.
When he was small he use to go face to face with squirrels while they ate peanuts. He also would run to end of the deck whenever the dogs from next door would come out and watch them so intently to make sure no one came any closer.
Since the storm in February we’ve had a kitty colds making the rounds, but finally here we are in March and they are all better. The last two boys were due to be neutered at the clinic the end of February but I had to cancel due to colds. Today I rescheduled them for April 1st., unfortunately they won’t view it as a joke
